Project Background
The client, living in a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria, faced a dual challenge: unreliable grid power and rising diesel prices. The local grid was available for less than 8 hours a day, often with severe voltage fluctuations that damaged sensitive home appliances. For years, the family relied on a 10kVA diesel generator, spending over $300 monthly on fuel and maintenance. The constant noise pollution disrupted their sleep, and the exhaust fumes posed long-term health risks. They urgently needed a sustainable, silent, and automatic power solution to run essential loads, including LED lighting, fans, a refrigerator, a television, and laptops.
The Solution
Our engineering team designed a cost-effective off-grid system centered around a 5kW High-Frequency Solar Inverter.
Result
Since commissioning, the system has operated flawlessly. The inverter’s UPS function ensures a seamless switchover (<10ms) when the grid fails, so the family doesn't even notice the power cut. The diesel generator has been decommissioned, saving the client thousands of dollars annually. "The silence is the best part," the homeowner remarked. "We finally have peace of mind."
